Do you value peace? Do you support our troops? Do you want the war in Iraq to end?
Please call your state legislators and urge them to VOTE YES on Senate Concurrent Resolution #4022 (SCR 4022), the Mathern/Kretschmar Peace Resolution.
If this bi-partisan resolution passes in ND, it gets delivered to our President and US Congress. It urges them to bring the troops home from Iraq.

Don't know who your legislators are?
Don't know what legislative district you're in?
You still have a voice — When you call the # above, just tell them your address. The person on the phone will tell you your legislators' names and your district.
Then you can say, “Please vote YES on SCR 4022, the Mathern/Kretschmar Peace Resolution.”
North Dakota is the 18th state to propose such a resolution. Let's make sure it passes!
Thank you for being a voice for peace. Together, we make a difference.
Note: Some peacemakers in North Dakota have expressed concern about the second "WHEREAS" section, where it states, "the continued cost of the Iraq war in the lives and health of American forces and civilians is exceeding our expectations." Some have suggested that the deaths of civilians and soldiers should never have been within our "expectations." If you agree, you can mention that to your legislators, saying that you'd like to see the resolution amended.
Please know that ultimately this resolution calls for the return of US forces from Iraq. Perhaps all peacemakers can agree on that, even if our reasoning may be different.
