Rep Kretschmar and Sen Mathern

Sen Mathern (right) and Rep Kretschmar (left) receive “Courage Award” from the NDPC

We were quite a presence at the House Government and Veterans Affairs Committee on Thursday, March 22. We overflowed the room with peacemakers once again. Thank you for attending, contacting your legislators, and/or offering powerfully peaceful testimony. This is peace culture in the making.

The testimony of most of those who presented is now available for you to read. Other testimony will be available soon.

Another Chance for Peace: Peace Resolution Hearing 3–22

North Dakota's Peace Resolution passed the ND Senate and will now have a hearing in the House. It is so very, very important that we make a strong showing for peace.

Why? Though the Resolution did pass the Senate, it passed in an amended, watered-down form. We need to be a presence — to call for the Resolution to be strengthened and insist that our troops be brought home.

SCR 4022 Hearing: Thursday, 3-22 | 10 AM Central Time
Ft Union Room (by the entrance at the far west side of the capitol).

Gathering for Peace: Following the hearing | 11:30 AM
Legislative Hall (up the stairs, between the Senate and House Chambers). With music by Ben Suchy and Kristin Kitko. Help us honor Sen Mathern and Rep Kretschmar. Special guest LTC Dave Thiele of the ND National Guard.
